Michael Rucker

Michael Rucker is an accomplished executive operations leader with over 30 years of specialized experience in the residential construction industry. His career began in 1990 with the Pacific Group, where he served as a Project Manager and discovered an early passion for land development — a discipline that would shape the trajectory of his career.

He went on to join McCar Homes, where he immersed himself in the vertical side of residential homebuilding, learning the craft of constructing homes from the ground up. His drive to lead people and manage complexity propelled him from Builder to Area Manager, a role in which he oversaw the planning and execution of up to twelve active neighborhoods simultaneously.

Following the 2008 market downturn, Michael channeled his expertise into entrepreneurship, founding and operating Kindred Homes — a custom homebuilding company based in Buford, Georgia — for five years. That experience deepened his understanding of every facet of the business, from client relationships and financial management to hands-on construction oversight.

Michael joined SR Homes and has advanced through roles of increasing responsibility — from Area Manager to Vice President of Construction to his current executive position as Senior Vice President of Administration. In this role, he brings a deep knowledge of industry best practices, team leadership, and process optimization to support the company’s continued growth and operational excellence. His educational foundation from Georgia Southern University, paired with more than three decades of hands-on experience, equips him to navigate the demands of semi-custom and custom homebuilding with both strategic vision and practical expertise.
